NBC Sports approached me in May 2023 to contribute to the Paris Olympics broadcast graphics package. What was supposed to be a month-long project turned into a year of work with their On Air Graphics team, covering everything from promos to bumpers to sponsored content. My main focus was on a part of the package that celebrated the ‘art de vivre’ of Paris culture – the art of living well and finding enjoyment in all things. I developed a light-hearted look and feel – mixing collage, texture, hand-drawn elements, floral motifs, and match-cut motion, which went on to become the foundation for the entire package’s motion logic.

This series of bumpers highlighted Team USA’s top stars, celebrating their major achievements and hometowns. By blending the paintbrush and hand-drawn aesthetics of daytime coverage with a neon and gold look, these bumpers fit seamlessly into both daytime and primetime broadcasts.

These bumpers featured footage captured by the NBC Sports team in Paris, bringing the city’s magic to life with painterly graphics I integrated into each scene. I designed and animated two collages highlighting a Team USA athlete competing in the promoted event. I set up each bumper as a template that could be easily updated by the team.
